Growing up, I was drawn to all forms of movement. My first experience with yoga was while attending college in Arizona. A friend invited me to join a hot yoga class and I reluctantly agreed - hoping to get a good workout. What I experienced - in just a single class - left me wanting more. Yoga made me feel limitless -  physically strong, mentally calm and deeply connected to myself and those around me.

After college, my main form of exercise was running. I could do it anywhere. I had a solid routine. And at that time, I was running over 2,000 miles per year and training for the Boston Marathon.

I was juggling work and life, friendships and family. And by 2020, I found myself on the edge of burn-out. I was overworked, overwhelmed and my training runs that once made me feel free and alive started to take a toll on my body. One morning before the sun came up, I was out running on a familiar, uneven road. One missed step later caused my ankle to roll, my knees to buckle and my mind to rapidly process my injury.

My doctor encouraged me to rehabilitate through yoga. So, I reluctantly started attending classes, thinking it would be temporary (so I could get back to running). Yet weeks of practicing yoga led to months and ultimately, one of my biggest and most meaningful life pivots: finding the transformative powers of yoga.

Since then, I went on to earn a 200 hour yoga certificate and have traveled across the country and internationally to continue advancing my own training, knowledge and practice.

I feel a deep sense of purpose to share and inspire others with yoga. My classes combine strength and balance using a Vinyasa-style flow.
